PRE-GYM PROGRAMS

Orange - 45 min (1's and 2's with parent)
(12-36 months - 10:1 student/teacher ratios)

This 45 minute weekly class allows the caregiver and child a quality movement experience focused on basic motor skills, perceptual development and cognitive skills. Examples of activities include swinging on the bar, walking on a wide beam, or rolling a ball through a tunnel. Parent participation is required, as this age group is not developmentally ready to be separate from
their parent or caregiver. The children must be able to walk without assistance.  Each participant must have their own parent or
guardian with them to participate.

Purple - 30 min (beginner 2's)
(24 - 36 months - 5:1 student/teacher ratios)

This 30 minute weekly class is intended to give the 2 year old a chance to learn from another adult other than their parent or caregiver.  This class focuses on basic motor skills, early gymnastics skills, and rudimentary rhythmic movement. Developmentally appropriate hand/eye coordinated activity as well as the educational concepts of both color and numbers are built into each class.

teal - 30 min (GAA experienced 2's)
(30- 36 months with GAA experience - 5:1 student/teacher ratios)

This 30 minute weekly class is intended to give the experienced 2 year old a chance to develop the independence they learned from the Purple class.   This class works on combining motor skills with early gymnastics skills, and rudimentary rhythmic movement. Developmentally appropriate hand/eye coordinated activity as well as the educational concepts of both color and numbers are built into each class.

Yellow - 45 min (Beginner 3 year olds)
( 36 months - 5:1 student/teacher ratios)

This 45 minute weekly class is intended to give the 3 year old a chance to learn from another adult besides their parent or caregiver.  This class focuses on basic motor skills, early gymnastics skills, and rudimentary rhythmic movement. Developmentally appropriate hand/eye coordinated activity as well as the educational concepts of both color and numbers are built into each class.

Green - (GAA experienced 3 year olds)

1 hour-
(3 year olds - 6:1 student/teacher ratios)
Keeping the 3 year olds in mind, this 1 hour weekly class is designed to increase the kinesthetic awareness, or how and why the body moves, while reinforcing concepts of reading readiness, visual, and auditory learning experiences. Lesson plans and progressions are based on
developmental milestones and include developing independence, social skills, coordination, and movement fundamentals.

Blue - (beginner 4's) - 1 hour
(4 year olds - 6:1 student/teacher ratios)
This 1 hour weekly class is also designed to increase the kinesthetic awareness, or how and why the body moves, while reinforcing concepts of reading readiness, visual, and auditory learning experiences while beginning more advanced gymnastics skills. Lesson plans and progressions are based on developmental milestones and include developing independence, social skills, coordination, and movement fundamentals.

Red - (older 4's w/ GAA experience)
(4 and 5 year olds - 6:1 student/teacher ratios)

This class moves away from the use of circuits and starts to use stations to teach gymnastics. A greater focus will be put on proper gymnastics form & skill connection from start to finish.

Black- (Transitional class for older 4's and young 5's)

This class gives students the comfort of a Pre-Gym class while easing them into a divisional class by moving through  both areas.  It follows the Division 1 skill chart.

Mini-Tumbling
(4 - 6 year olds - 6:1 student/teacher ratios)

Progressive tumbling development designed for younger students. At GAA, we love to teach good basic tumbling skills in an age appropriate progressive environment. This is a great class for young athletes who want to pursue cheerleading or competitve gymnastics in the future.
